Sherard Jackson (website)
Though he has been drawing since age six, Sherard Jackson began his professional art career as co-founder contributing artist of the comic anthology "Section 8". The series ran for eight issues, with Jason Alexander's "Chance", "Pulled Under", Klay Cone's "Saints and Sinners", and Sherard's "Matrix and Maze" as running features. His work also appeared in local Nashville, TN Volunteer Comics' Summer Lineup '96 and Winter Lineup '97. These two issues were the first appearances of Sherard's future mini-series, "Semantic Lace". During this time he attended Nossi College of Art, where he received an Associates' Degree in Commercial Art.
Shortly after school, he took an extended leave from comics to work with this friend, Donovan Harris, on a personal project: a cyberpunk action comedy called "Automaton". He illustrated several pinups for the books "Inmates", "Empty Zone", "Little White Mouse", and "Devil Face". "Automaton" wound up being shelved indefinitely.
He began to focus more on "Semantic Lace", an action/love story mini-series set in a future Tel Aviv, Israel. It tells the story of agent Iluatha Assad and her relationship with her estranged fiancé Taj. "Semantic Lace" was picked up by Arrow Comics for a Summer 2000 release.
Later the same year he worked briefly on "Overtime", an Opi8.com comic series written by Marc Bryant.
Currently, his illustration work can be found in the pages of White Wolf's "Exalted".
